City Agents: Colour through Street Furniture

Varia kadunkalusteilla

The Colour through Street Furniture workshop gave fourth graders a chance to explore and assess urban spaces made of concrete. The children designed colourful artworks and street furniture, including a book kiosk and a football goal, for the selected urban space. The objects were created on a scale of 1:1 using corrugated board and then carried together to the location. Finally the participants discussed how the elements painted with basic colours affected the grey urban space. Had they been successful in livening up the environment? Had the workshop broadened their minds regarding a new kind of urban experience?[embed]https://youtu.be/S3d4eLg3vGo[/embed]
