Komitu receives honorable mention in the Re-thinking Future Awards 2014 competition

Komitu – a group of Finnish architects and architecture students – has been awarded with an honorable mention for their Kouk Khleang Youth Centre in the international Re-thinking the Future Awards competition 2014. The award is to acknowledge the climate responsive work done by architects, landscape architects, urban designers, planners and creative people from all over the world. The youth centre was opened in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in February 2014.Komitu is a member of a Finnish non-governmental organisation Ukumbi, which offers architectural services to communities in need, and a Nordic South of North collective whose Mouthful of Meetings virtual dinner is a part of the parallel venues of the Nordic Pavillion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2014.
