Sleep-over at an icon of modern architecture, Säynätsalo Town Hall by Alvar Aalto

What would it feel like to spend a night at one of Alvar Aalto’s masterpieces? Now it is possible to find out: two of the apartments in the Säynätsalo Town Hall, completed in 1952, as well as its two guestrooms are available for accommodation.The apartments are named after the maestro whose complete name was Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto. The two-bedroom apartment Hugo lodges four people while the studio apartment Henrik has two single beds. The guestrooms carrying the names of Alvar and his wife Elissa Aalto open towards the famous patio and are for one person each with a shared bathroom in the corridor. The building is open to the public during the opening hours of the café.
