Aalto University's Wood working group invites to participate in a Winter Seminar titled Building Material Futures on Thursday 22nd January 2015 in Auditorium A1, Otakaari 1 X, Otaniemi, Espoo.The seminar aims to explore how timber will play a part in a more human-centred, resource efficient future. The programme will include two keynote talks as well as presentations covering a variety topics relating to the use of wood in the built environment. These will include the 3D printing of timber structures, life cycle assessment, the use of wood in interior spaces, energy efficiency through the use of wood, design for reuse, cascading and carbon foot printing.The distinguished keynote speakers are Gary Newman, who is the Executive Chairman of the UK based Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP), and Dr. Paavo Järvensivu, an economist and graduate of Aalto University and specialising in degrowth.Registrate via link: www.webropolsurveys.com/S/AAF0F1C7ADFC92AF.par.Aalto Wood Winter Seminar
