The 3rd International Conference on Structures and Architecture ICSA has announced a Call for Abstracts and a Call for Mini-Symposia and Special Sessions. The conference will be held in Guimarães, Portugal, on 27–29 July, 2016. ICSA2016 is the world's leading and largest global conference bridging the gap between Structures and Architecture. The contributions on creative and scientific aspects in the conception and construction of structures, on advanced technologies and on complex architectural and structural applications represent a fine blend of scientific, technical and practical novelties in both fields.The conference covers all major aspects of structures and architecture. They include the following topics: building envelopes; comprehension of complex forms; computer and experimental methods; concrete and masonry structures; emerging technologies; glass structures; innovative architectural and structural design; lightweight and membrane structures; special structures; steel and composite structures; the borderline between architecture and structural engineering; the history of the relationship between architects and structural engineers; the tectonic of architectural solutions; the use of new materials; timber structures.
Call for Abstracts
Prospective authors are invited to submit one page abstract, of no more than 500 words, before February 15 2015, in electronic form via the conference website at www.icsa2016.com. Authors will be notified on the acceptance of their abstracts no later than May 15, 2015. Papers must be submitted due to November 15, 2015. Acceptance will be notified before February 15, 2016.
Call for Mini-Symposia and Special Sessions
Participants interested in organizing a mini-symposium or a special session as part of ICSA2016 are requested to submit a proposal to the conference Secretariat by November 15 2014.
