Ark Rex spin-off in Oulu

Ark Rex was founded in 2019 on the initiative of architect SAFA Tarja Nurmi, in collaboration with the Amos Rex art museum. The festival takes place every other year at the Bio Rex cinema in Helsinki’s Lasipalatsi. Alvar Aalto founded Finland’s first film club, Projektion, together with Nils-Gustav Hahl.

The spin-off programme screens two architecture films at Cinema Star: Lewerentz – Divine Darkness, directed by Sven Blume, and Bauhaus forever, directed by Nico Weber.

Tarja Nurmi and Nico Weber will be present at the event for a discussion, while director Sven Blume will join the discussion remotely.
