In honor of Juhani Pallasmaa's 90th anniversary seminar and his life's work, a local premiere A dinner without André will be presented at Helsinki Central Library Oodi on Saturday, September 26th at 11:00 AM.
Architect Juhani Pallasmaa and filmmaker and author Rax Rinnekangas appear in Rinnekangas’ cinematic piece A dinner without André.
During one aperitif, two friends discuss life, architecture, cinema, literature, art, their mystical friend André, the changed Russianness, the global situation, memories - making a mental journey around the world. At the end of their conversation, they start looking at the menu to enjoy a dinner at which André is not present.
The film is dedicated to the modern classic My dinner with André (1981) by French film director Louis Malle.
Admission is free and after the movie, there will be a discussion. The spoken language of the film is Finnish with English subtitles.
