How can we use our senses to notice the traces of time in buildings, objects, and environments? What kind of traces, memories, and thoughts does architecture leave on us?

Join us at Metso for an event suitable for all ages, where we explore architecture, our changing surroundings, and our thoughts about architecture. The event follows a drop-in format, so you can join anytime.

Sensory workshop

How do signs of time show, feel, and smell in this building? In this workshop, we will explore the library, mark things that engage our senses, and search for traces of use & time in the building. The findings will be displayed for other library visitors to see. The workshop is led by Sanna Elfving.

Listener of Architectural Thoughts – participatory art work

What traces, thoughts, and experiences has architecture left on you? How do you perceive architecture and its phenomena? Participate in the artwork by sharing your thoughts with the "Listener of Architectural Thoughts" at the library, who will sketch your ideas on paper. This participatory art piece is made by Lotta Aulamo.
