The ReCreate project opens an exhibition in Tampere showcasing pavilions built of reused concrete elements.

The Reuse pilot exhibition is free of charge and open from 1 July to 31 August 2026 on weekdays from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. The exhibition presents circular demolition and construction solutions developed in the project.

The international research project has studied how concrete elements from demolished buildings can be reused in new construction. The research has utilized undamaged elements from a 1980s office building in Tampere. Reusing intact and factory-refurbished concrete elements provides a low-carbon alternative that reduces the environmental impact of construction.
