Tampere Urban Research Network for Sustainability has received an official research platform status at the Tampere University. The platform's kick-off will be celebrated on 5 March.

Tampere Urban Research Network for Sustainability (TURNS) has been running since 2019 as an informal network of urban researchers. Now it has been established as a research platform of the Tampere University, with the purpose of promoting interdisciplinary, innovative, and critical research in the field of urban sustainability. Head of the TURNS platform is professor Panu Lehtovuori.

The platform's kick-off event program is held in English and includes discussions, short lectures, a keynote speech and festivities. Registration by February 19, after which availability can be inquired via email from Project Manager Riina Lundman, riina.lundman@tuni.fi.
