Mari Forsberg

Mari serves as the senior producer for the 2027 Venice Architecture Biennale project, bringing her expertise and experience in managing large-scale projects to other Archinfo initiatives as well.
Mari is an art historian specialising in architecture and the built environment, with extensive experience at the Alvar Aalto Foundation. Having worked as a collaboration manager and producer on exhibitions, networks, jubilee programmes, and events, she sees promoting Finnish architecture internationally as an inspiring role and a natural continuation of her previous work with Aalto’s architecture.
Mari is inspired by urban development, experimentation, and strengthening inclusion and community. Her experience on the board of the Aalto cultural route association has broadened her perspective on sustainable cultural tourism. In her free time, Mari enjoys exploring the seashore and finding inspiration in spaces and stories. And, like Alvar Aalto, Mari always has a journey to Italy on her mind.
