The 14th International Alvar Aalto Symposium "New housing solutions for cities in change" will be held on 30−31 August, 2018 in Jyväskylä, Finland. This year the symposium focuses on the current challenges and opportunities for future housing design and construction in urban areas. The theme will be explored from four specific perspectives: Cultural variables, Sharing, Adaptability and Emerging typologies. The topic emerges from a fact that urban housing and living are in a state of paradigmatic flux.
