NEW INC Year 13 – Open Call for Helsinki-Based Creative Practicioners

The Finnish Cultural Institute in New York, FCINY, is inviting Helsinki-based creative practitioners to apply for the yearlong incubator program.

NEW INC is the first museum-led incubator dedicated to supporting creative practitioners as they build sustainable practices, experimental projects, or new ventures. Their upcoming Year 13 program will support one Helsinki-based creative practitioner to join NEW INC's yearlong incubator program (2026–2027), combining residencies in New York with sustained engagement from Finland. 

The selected Helsinki-based participant will receive full program funding, working grants, housing and travel support, and opportunities to present work internationally, including at NEW INC’s DEMO Festival

Due date: March 2, 2026

Program period: September 2026 – August 2027

The Year 13 initiative includes financial support, mentorship, and international visibility from a Finnish consortium including the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York, the City of Helsinki, and the Consulate General of Finland in New York. The program brings together an international community of artists, designers, technologists, architects, scientists, and cultural entrepreneurs working across disciplines.
