The call for Biennale Collateral Events is open

Collateral Events are selected and officially recognised by La Biennale di Venezia. They are independently organised outside the institutional venues of the Biennale (Giardini and Arsenale), in museums, churches, or other public or private exhibition spaces.

Participation is open to public or private non-profit organisations operating directly and primarily in the field of architecture or art. Proposed projects may include exhibitions, installations or initiatives such as conferences or symposiums.

Collateral Events are selected by the curators Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu. The selection is based on the quality and significance of the project, as well as its ability to provide a substantial contribution to the research and themes of the curators’ exhibition. Approved projects receive the official Collateral Event status of La Biennale di Venezia. The organising institution is responsible for the production, funding and realisation of the event.
