A new call supporting the development of sustainable and circular construction has been added to the 2027 calls of the Horizon New European Bauhaus Facility. At the same time, the previously planned call focusing on the development of environments around transport corridors has been cancelled.

New call: Enabling environments for a sustainable and circular construction sector.

The aim of the call is to accelerate the testing, deployment and scaling of sustainable and circular construction solutions.

What is the call looking for?

The call is not looking only for individual new construction products or technical solutions. The aim is to create environments and ways of working in which construction companies can test and validate new solutions in line with NEB principles under real-world conditions.

Projects must combine research, innovation and practical deployment, and generate knowledge and working models that can also be used by the NEB Academy. Solutions must also be based on local conditions and developed together with end users.

Who can apply?

The call invites construction companies and start-ups, research and education organisations, public actors, and actors in architecture, design and the built environment who are developing circular economy solutions, new construction materials, repair and reuse, low-carbon construction or new ways of working in construction.

Key information

The 2027 NEB Facility call opens on 5 May 2027, and the deadline for applications is 1 December 2027.
