Rovaniemi's Alvar Aalto Jubilee culminates in Alvar Aalto Week in the world's northernmost Aalto city.
In 2025 will celebrate the Alvar Aalto Jubilee with the theme Arctic Everyday Aalto. The Jubilee will culminate in the Alvar Aalto Week, which will take place in Rovaniemi on 29 September – 5 October 2025.
In the world’s northernmost Alvar Aalto city, the Arctic is an integral part of everyday life. The theme Arctic Everyday Aalto reflects the thinking of Alvar Aalto: beuaty and functionality are not just for celebrations but are present and close to everyday life. The Arctic draws its strength from light, nature and the seasons – just like Alvar Aalto’s architecture and design.
