Two talks will be held at Rome's MAXXI, where a new generation of Finnish designers are introduced and the common values they share with Studio Aalto. The first event features Ville Kokkonen, one of the most renowned contemporary Finnish designers.

The former Design Director of Artek, Ville Kokkonen, will illustrate, exclusively and as a preview for Italy, a selection of some of his most significant products. Sustainable and human-scale projects made with natural and innovative materials for ecologically and socially responsible project development. A recycled aluminum chair, a therapeutic lamp, and a travel parasol are among the products Kokkonen presents during the discussion.

The event is introduced and moderated by Saverio Sturm, associate professor in history of architecture at Roma Tre University. The talk coincides with the Aalto – Aino, Alvar, Elissa exhibition at MAXXI.
