Venice Architecture Biennale unveils its 2027 exhibition theme

LA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA
The 20th International Architecture Exhibition will highlight architecture in which different ways of thinking and forms of construction can meet and coexist.
In 2027, the Venice Architecture Biennale will bring together architects, artists and academics from around the world for the 20th time. The La Biennale di Venezia-appointed curators, Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu have announced their theme: Do Architecture, For the Possibility of Coexistence Facing a Real Reality.
With the theme, the curators emphasise architecture as practical work where local cultures, materials and contemporary construction can find new forms of coexistence. The theme reflects an approach to architecture in relation to contemporary challenges such as climate change and sustainable construction.
